WATCHING YOUR LIMITS
Today's reading:  Jeremiah 22-26

"People from many nations will pass by the ruins of this city and say to one another, Why did the Lord destroy such a great city?  And the answer will be, Because they violated their covenant with the Lord their God by worshiping other gods."  Jeremiah 22:8-9 NLT

The finest cities can crumble.

The most organized organizations can topple.

The most intact of churches can split.

The greatest of people can fall off their pedestals.

Why?

Because of what's allowed to enter in.  The consolations made.  The excuses accepted.  The 'bends' they choose to make to accomodate everyone's feelings.

If God is not honored, then nothing will be.  He will not play second fiddle.  He will not be ignored.  He will not take a backseat or be put on hold.

What are you allowing inside your 'city limits'?
