LIFE'S NOT FAIR
Today's reading:  Job 27-28

"Evil people may have all the money in the world, and they may store away mounds of clothing.  But the righteous will wear that clothing, and the innocent will divide all that money."  Job 27:16-17 NLT

The saying around here is:  Life's not fair, it'll all be settled in heaven.

It's repeated often for the young man in our home, and for his mother.

What we see going on in the world, in our town, in our neighborhood and in our families don't always make sense when we look at it through our eyes.  Riches aren't evenly dispersed.  Great opportunities don't get spread out on an equal basis.  Good times do not fall equivalently on all parties.

Grown-ups, as well as kids, mumble and grumble about life's unequal opportunities.

We grumble, that is, until we re-position our thoughts on eternity.

In the end, in the very end, all things are leveled out at Jesus' feet and the spoils of a life well-lived are divvied out at His throne.  Riches and honors will be awarded in heavenly realms.

Will you be receiving yours then?  Then don't worry about now!
