NO MIDDLE GROUND
Today's reading: Deuteronomy 7-9
"Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and constantly loves those who love him and obey his commands. But he does not hesitate to punish and destroy those who hate him." Deuteronomy 7:9-10 NLT
In a day and age where people prefer to live in the gray areas, this might be a hard portion of Scripture to swallow.
These two verses simply state that you will either LOVE God or HATE him.
There is no middle ground.
No neutral territory in which to live your life.
No gray area.
If you don't love God, you hate him.
It's not that you consider God. Or that you tolerate God. Or even, that you believe there is a God. It has nothing to do with your allowance of others to serve God. Or that you accept him.
Either you love him, or you hate him.
This is not a decision upon which you can be impartial, nonpartisan or open-minded.
Either you love him, or you hate him.
What's your life saying your choice is on that matter of God?
