AM I LISTENING?

Today's reading: Jeremiah 25-27

"Again and again, the Lord has sent you his prophets, but you have not listened or even tried to hear. Each time the message was this: Turn from the evil road you are traveling and from the evil things you are doing..." Jeremiah 25:4-5 NLT

Have you ever found yourself in a 'pickle' only to realize that had you been listening to God the whole time, He had been warning you to stop, to turn the other way or to back it up--way up?

Most of us don't wake up to find ourselves waist deep in sin. It's a gradual process. It's a slow progression. It's a long, and sometimes drawn out, trip.

Because if we're honest, we feel His nudges against it from the get-go.

We hear His still small voice in our ear.

We know better--from the very first taste, choice, look or word.

Maybe it's time we started listening, really listening and doing just what He's leading us to do.
