EASTER MORNING
Today's reading: Luke 24
"But very early on Sunday morning the women came to the tomb, taking with them the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone covering the entrance had been rolled aside/" Luke 24:2 NLT
The Luke 24 women came to the cemetery that morning to worship a fallen king.
They prepared to honor the shell of a man they had loved, and had been loved by.
They scheduled into their day a time to pay respects to one who had touched their lives, and the lives of so many others.
They walked to the garden tomb to pray, to weep, to mourn.
Jesus had other plans!
Jesus intended to step into their lives in a way He had not formerly done.
He wanted them to know the depths of His love for them.
The heights He would go for them.
The depths He would travel for them.
The widths He would cross for them.
The power He would demonstrate to them.
He was not their fallen king, He was their Risen Lord!
