I am doing this blogpost as a test for my upcoming trip. Only 36 days away! Keep me in prayer as I prepare spiritually for this life-changing opportunity.

EXPECTATION
Today's reading: Romans 5-6

"And this expectation will not disappoint us..." Romans 5:5 NLT

Ever been disappointed by someone or something?

Ever had someone or something not live up to your expectations?

Ever invested time, money and effort into someone or something that didn't work out as you had hoped it would?

We all have.

People let us down or show us a side of themselves we had not known about. Items arrive not as shiny and sparkly as they had been advertised on TV. Efforts, even the best of them, prove insufficient.

Here is what Paul is saying in our verse today: Salvation will not let us down!

The church may. Christian people might. Circumstances may lead us to believe we're alone in big, ugly world. Answers may not come when we need them or show up in the way in which we had asked.

But salvation, the saving us from our sins, the setting us up as children of God, the guarantee of a heavenly home WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!
