EVALUATE YOUR WORDS
Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 4-5

"We don't go around preaching about ourselves; we preach Christ Jesus, the Lord. All we say about ourselves is that we are your servants because of what Jesus has done for us." 2 Corinthians 4:5 NLT

I'm challenged this morning, by this verse, to evaluate my words.

The 10,000-20,000 expressions I make during my waking hours.

Am I talking more about myself, or the Lord?

Am I a continual loop of advertisements for my abilities, emotions and opinion, or do I promote my Savior?

With all He has done for me, how in the world can I ever speak of anything other than Him?

Does my appreciation, thankfulness and gratitude for His saving grace permeate my speech?

Am I intentional in making it less about me and more about Him?

Today I am going to evaluate all the words I speak in an effort to let others know I am merely a servant who wholeheartedly adores their King!
