Today's reading: Luke 19-20
"He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowds." Luke 19:3 NLT
"And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature." Luke 19:3 KJV
Zaccheus came up short.
I do, too.
Short of good deeds.
Short of good intentions.
Short of good living.
Short of a good lineage.
Short of everything it might take to get up and close and personal with God.
So Jesus came along.
And now I rest in the Father's arms. I am thought of by Him, day in and day out. I have been adopted into His family and I can run into His throne room any time I want to--and He welcomes me.
I came up short, until Jesus saved my soul!
