IN THE MORNING
Today's reading: Psalm 30-32

"...but joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5 NLT

We've had a very long night waiting out severe weather here on the prairie.

Thunderstorms, tornado warnings, winds howling, hail and rain.

We've kept the TV on for weather reports.

We've gathered flashlights.

We've made sure our 'safe spot' was ready for us if needed.

We've listened as things crashed around us outside.

We've spent time on the front porch looking at the night sky.

And now?

Now we await the sunrise.

We wait for a glimpse of what was done in the dark.

We stand together as a family, safe and sound--waiting for the first sight of all God kept us from.

We're rejoicing that 'joy comes in the morning'.

The sun always rises!

The dawn always breaks!

The day always begins again!

The Lord always lets us see Him!
