LAST OUNCE
Today's reading: 1 Samuel 26-31
"...But David found strength in the Lord his God." 1 Samuel 30:6 NLT
David wasn't just tired, he was bone-tired.
He was worn out from the fight.
He was weary from the battle.
He was struggling beneath the load of running from King Saul.
He was burdened down with the weight of the lives of his men, his men's families and his own family.
He was in a position in which his own were on the verge of turning against him.
What did he do with his last ounce of strength?
He turned to the Lord.
I pray you do the same.
With your last ounce of energy...
With your last thread of sanity...
With your last bit of hope...
With your last piece of whatever is left of you--turn to the Lord.
I believe you will be amazed at what you will find in Him!
