REAL CHANGE
Today's reading: Joel

"That is why the Lord said, Turn to me now, while there is still time! Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, mourning and weeping. Don't tear your clothing in your grief, instead, tear your hearts." Joel 2:12-13 NLT

Ever had your heart torn out of your chest? Ever experienced emotion so deeply that you truly believed life had stopped?

Maybe it was in regards to the loss of a loved one. A broken heart. A dream that was dashed to pieces. A Hallmark movie or as of late, an animal shelter commercial.

There are things on a daily basis that pull at our heart strings. Are any of those things our relationship with God?

When was the last time you grieved over sin in your life? Can you recall when you last bowed in humble, tearful admiration of God's sacrifice, Jesus? Do you remember your last turning towards Christ, the decision you made to be completely sold out to Him, His ways and His purpose for your life?

Spend a few minutes at His feet today. Allow His Spirit to tear your heart in response and reaction to Him.
