CRYING OUT

Today's reading: Proverbs 2-3

"Cry out for insight and understanding." Proverbs 2:3 NLT

Insight and understanding are important aspects of gaining wisdom from the Lord.

Insight refers to having a deep understanding of a situation, often coming from sudden realization or intuition.

Understanding, however, involves a more thorough grasp of a concept or idea through analysis, study or personal experience.

Insight is an 'off-the-cuff' understanding, but true understanding requires a level of investment--through time, effort and dedication to finding out.

Both are important in our walks with the Lord.

Both are gifts from God.

These gifts will help us walk through life holding tightly to the Lord's hand.

But these gifts are ones we must 'cry out' for. Ask for. Seek out. Request of the Lord.

In moments of immediate need and in the quiet times with our Bibles opened on our laps.

Cry out for insight and understanding, it will make you wise.
