HE'S GONE AHEAD
Today's reading:  Genesis 40-43

"When Jacob heard that grain was available in Egypt, he said to his sons, Why are you standing around looking at one another?  I have heard there is grain in Egypt.  Go down there and buy enough to keep us alive or we'll die."  Genesis 42:1-2 NLT

Grain.  Stockpiles of grain.  A way to make it out of the famine alive.

And how did it get there?

God had gone ahead of Jacob's boys.

God chose to use the mean spirited-ness of his sons again Joseph.  God chose to sell the young boy to a certain caravan.  God chose to place Joseph in a specific palace.  God chose to allow a certain jail to house a certain set of criminals.  God spoke to a young man who wasn't afraid to relay his dream to a king.

God goes ahead of all of us.  Not just a Jewish father of twelve.

God has in store for us His best, His most intriguing, His opportunities chosen to turn us closer to Him.

He has gone ahead of you today...look for where He's been!
