CANNOT BE GRANDFATHERED IN
Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 21-24

"...Ahaziah was given a decent burial because the people said, He was the grandson of Jehoshaphat--a man who sought the Lord with all his heart..." 2 Chronicles 22:9 NLT

How nice. How kind. What an honor.

But what good will it do him when he stands before God?

None.

None what so ever.

Because we don't take credentials, references or witnesses when us when we stand before God.

We aren't grandfathered into God's presence.

He doesn't base our entry upon our daddy's name.

We don't get in because of the family we've come from.

We get in based upon knowing Jesus as our personal Savior.

That's the only question that will be asked of us.

Do you know my Son?

It's not going to be about what we've done...or not done...or given to the church...or the services we've attended...or the church we're a member of...

It's all about whether we've accepted Christ and His salvation.

Have you?

Are you His and is He yours?

When you die, regardless of the fancy funeral they provide for you or the life you've lived with the name you were given, will you be in or out of heaven?
