HIGHER EDUCATION
Today's reading: Proverbs 17-18

I want to be smarter. I'd love to have a head full of useful, and not so useful, knowledge. I'd like to be able to debate with great scholars and win at least one round of Jeopardy.

I've tried wearing glasses. They made me look smarter, but did nothing to improve my IQ scores.

I could take college classes, but where would I find the small fortune required and the extra hours in the day needed?

I might spend more time in the library filling my head with page after page of encyclopedial knowledge, but life must continue--my family wants fed and my employer requires I spend some time at work before alotting me a paycheck.

Higher education isn't possible. Glasses break. The librarian frowns on me bringing in a load of laundry to fold as I have my nose in a book. So, what will I do?

I'll have to, in order to be wiser, shut my mouth!

"Even fools are thought to be wise when they keep silent; when they keep their mouths shut, they seem intelligent." Proverbs 17:28 NLT
