WHAT TO DO WITH JESUS

Today's reading: Matthew 8-10

"The entire town came out to meet Jesus, but they begged him to go away and leave them alone." Matthew 8:34 NLT

Jesus had just performed the miracle of casting demons out of two men, and people took notice.

They wondered about Him.

They wanted to see Him.

They desired to know a little about Him.

They considered it important that they be known as having been in His presence.

But they didn't want what He offered. Not the stuff that might require a change in how they lived, at least.

They were drawn to the popularity, the excitement, the miracles He could perform--but they wanted nothing to do with the salvation and life change that He could provide them.

They were comfortable where they were. They were content having what they had. They were complacent to the life they were living.
