SEEKING CHRIST
Today's reading: Song of Solomon 3-4

"One night as I lay in bed, I yearned deeply for my lover, but he did not come. So I said to myself, I will get up now and roam the city, searching for him in all its streets and squares..." Song of Solomon 3:1-2 NLT

There are a lot of 'us' who believe our pastors should shower God on us as we sit in the pews.

Or that by listening to the Christian radio station we will be sprinkled with holiness.

Or that by wearing our church t-shirts we'll be doused in Christlikeness.

Or that by carrying our Bible around with us in the car (the one we keep forgetting to take in the house after church on Sundays) godliness will flow into us.

Here's a news flash: God wants us to seek Him out.

That shows Him how very much we desire to be near Him.

Make the effort to find Him. To look for Him. To search for Him in your everyday. To pour over the Scriptures to find His message personally penned for us.
