INVITATION
Today's reading: Genesis 35-36, Matthew 11:7-24, Psalm 15

"Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?" Psalm 15:1 NLT

The questions have been asked...and I know the answer!

I am so sure of the answer that I am like a fourth grader wriggling at their desk with their arm raised, shouting 'Ooh, I know...Ooh, I know!', 'Pick me, please, PLEASE, Teacher, pick me!'

I know the answer to the question David is asking and knowing the answer makes me giddy!

The answer is--Me!

I'm invited into His sanctuary.

I've been asked to spend time in His presence.

Because of anything good I've done? Heavens, no! Oh, heavens, no!

Only because of grace.

Grace invited an ill-mannered, dirt between her toes, raised on a farm, loud-mouthed gal like me to the party of all parties!

Grace cleaned me up from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet--just so I could be worthy to enter the throne room of the King! And not only enter, but to boldly approach the throne and share my needs and praises with my Creator and Friend!

Grace welcomes me to sit at His feet every morning, bed headed, un-make-upped, in jammies and with a whole lot of human-ness to be relieved of!

Grace has placed a card at God's banquet table with my name on it--and it's spelled right!

I never, and I mean NEVER, should have even been given a thought, let alone an invitation. I'm too, well, I'm too much of about anything you might want to fill in the blank with!

But I've been asked to worship in His sanctuary and enter His presence...and you have too, if you are a believer in His salvation and grace!

By grace alone!
