HAVING THE COURAGE

Today's reading: John 7-8

"There was a lot of discussion about him among the crowds. Some said, He's a wonderful man, while others said, He's nothing but a fraud, deceiving the people. But no one had the courage to speak favorably about him in public, for they were afraid of getting in trouble with the Jewish leaders." John 7:12-13 NLT

We can agree that there is a whole lot of talk about Jesus, even today.

He is debated. He is mentioned. He is sung about. He is spoken of. He is referred to when thumbs are smashed or shins are cracked.

There's a lot of discussion about Jesus--are you in any of the conversations?

Are you praising His name?

Are you telling about His saving of your soul?

Are you sharing the Good News of His life, death and resurrection with those you meet?

Are you using His name in ways that honor and glorify Him?

Or are you lacking the courage to speak favorably about Him in the crowds you find yourself in?

Speak up for Jesus!
