JERUSALEM
Today's reading:  Psalm 122-124

Many of you know I have had the privilege of living vicariously through several members of my church who were able to take a trip to the Holy Lands.  Their stories, their excitement, their testimonies, their pictures, have spurred me on to falling in love with a place I've never been, a people I've been grafted into and a culture that's very new to me.

So, upon reading the Scriptures this morning, I was reminded of the special place the land and people of Israel hold to God's heart, too.

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.  May all who love this city prosper.  O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces.  For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, Peace be with you.  For the sake of the house of the Lord your God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem."  Psalm 122:5-9 NLT

Do you realize that our prosperity, personally and nationally, depends upon our lifting Israel up in prayer?

Have you examined your choice of Presidential candidate and his stand on protecting and backing Israel?  It's an important call.  Your vote is a valuable privilege.  Prayer in regards to selecting the right man for the job is absolutely necessary!

The Bible must be considered as the great source of all the truth by which men are to be guided in government as well as in all social transactions.                                    Noah Webster
