WHO IS THIS?

Today's reading: Luke 7-8

"...And they were filled with awe and amazement. They said to one another, Who is this man, that even the winds and waves obey him?" Luke 8:25 NLT

The motley crew of disciples had already ridden some rough patches with Jesus...

Crowds wanting to crucify Him.

Priests looking down upon Him.

Towns completely disregarding His teachings.

But this boat trip? 

On this adventure they saw a facet of Jesus that had never before seen!

Healer--they had seen it.

Powerful speaker--they had heard His words.

Miracle worker--they had eaten some leftover bread and fish.

But the winds and the waves? Nature itself? Absolute control of the elements? Peace in the words He spoke?

Their words revealed the thoughts of their hearts--Who truly is this man?

And we? When we choose to look deeply into all He is doing around us, will ask the same question--Who is this man?
