MY DAILY TASK

Today's reading: Psalm 99-101

"My daily task will be to ferret out criminals and free the city of the Lord from their grip." Psalm 101:8 NLT

While David's words sound like an oath some muscle-y super hero might be called upon to take, it's not.

It's for us.

As believers.

As children of God.

As inhabitants in a land that is not our home but created by our Good Father.

To ferret out criminals, is to watch for underlying issues. To be very careful as to what we allow to grow and fester and influence.

It starts in our homes. In what we allow, or don't. In what we okay, or don't. In what we participate in, or don't.

We'll never be able to impact the world until we have discipline over the three square feet of earth we occupy in and of ourselves.

Are you completing your daily task? Are you watching for areas in your life where our enemy can creep in through cracked foundations or non-existent determination? Are you taking steps to ferret out the criminal influences in your life?
