THAT'S OUR PROBLEM
Today's reading: Ruth 3-4, Luke 23:26-24:12, Psalm 78:5-8

"They forgot what he had done--the wonderful miracles he had shown them, the miracles he did for their ancestors in Egypt, on the plain of Zoan." Psalm 78:11 NLT

(I know, I know, the verse I've selected is outside the reading plan, only by a few verses--but outside none the less. I'm not usually a rule breaker, but my heart needed this verse's reminder...and maybe you did, too.)

Isn't that our problem? That we've forgotten what God has done?

We have misplaced our knowledge of His miraculous acts.

We have failed to remember He holds the galaxies, the seasons, the seconds of the day and the breath of our lungs within His hands.

We have allowed today's happenings and tomorrow's fears to fill us with dread instead of His history filling us with hope.

No, I don't know what all still remains on your prayer list.

What hasn't yet been done.

Who hasn't yet been healed.

Which prodigal still hasn't come home.

How in the world He will pull you out of this current mess you're in.

What specifically you are to do, if anything at all.

But this I know--He has done mighty and wonderful and miraculous and ALWAYS on time things before--and He will do it again!

Do not forget that.
