TURNED
Today's reading: 2 Kings 22-25

"Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since." 2 Kings 23:25 NLT

Turned-to change position so as to face another way; to become changed, altered or transformed.

Here lies the problem: we want it both ways.

We want to serve the Lord and reap all the benefits that bequeaths to us AND we want to keep our hairy, little toe stuck in the world's business, so as not to appear too religious, too zealous or too intolerant.

But we cannot have it both ways.

To turn means to face one thing and have your back to another.

Which will be put our backs to?

The world and it's chaos, it's darkness, it's lies, it's false hope?

Or to Jesus and what He did for us on the cross? Our only hope? Our promise? Our security?

With every choice we make a turn--it's up to us as to Who we turn to!
