MOST IMPORTANT
Today's reading: Hebrews 8-10

"...Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin." Hebrews 9:22 NLT

It's easy to think about Christmas. The singing angels. The lowing cattle. The cozy barn. The humble shepherds. The sparkling gifts from the East. The tiny baby wrapped in his mother's arms.

It's also easy to think about Easter Sunday. The power of resurrection. The empty tomb. The dumbfounded crucifiers. The victory that spread across the Judean mountains...and to us.

But it's a little harder to think about the Blood. The Blood that was required. The Blood that had to be spilled. The Blood that stole the life from Jesus but gave us eternity.

But without the Blood, there would be no forgiveness available to us. Nothing to make us right with God. Nothing to cleanse us and make us able to come before Him.
