CORNERSTONE
Today's reading:  Psalm117-118

"The stone rejected by the builders has now become the cornerstone."  Psalm 118:22 NLT

I've been Googling 'cornerstones' this morning.  I've read up, reviewed and sorted some information I've gathered to share with you...

Cornerstones, pinnah or zawith in Hebrew and Greek, are mentioned time and time again throughout the Bible.  Their importance to the structure of a building and their importance symbolically have earned them honorable mention in the pages of God's Holy Word.

Cornerstones have two purposes:  a.) they can be the main stone upon which a building was begun or upon which it rested or b.) the topmost corner stone of a building that links the top rows of blocks  or bricks together for strength and permanency.

That being known, I can honestly say Jesus is my Cornerstone!

He is the building block of my faith.

He is the permanency in my life.

He is the hope upon which all my days are rested upon.

The peace He offers links my days and nights together.

His love binds together my abilities and my strengths into His purpose and to His glory.

Jesus is my cornerstone!

Is He yours?
