ENDURING ANYTHING
Today's reading: 2 Timothy 1-2
"I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen." 2 Timothy 2:10 NLT
Paul's 'anything', in this portion of Scripture, was prison.
His 'anything' had included beatings, leaving his home, ridicule and even shipwreck.
He wanted people to know the saving grace of Jesus more than he wanted anything else in the world.
Where do we stand in comparison?
Are we willing to have the hard conversations in order that someone come to know our Lord and Savior?
Are we ready to be ostracized for our love for God?
Are we inclined to push aside shyness for boldness in sharing the Good News?
Enduring 'anything' for the cause of Christ might mean we will be uncomfortable, stretched and placed in awkward situations...but wouldn't it be worth it for someone to know Jesus?
