Christian brothers and sisters,

In our hurry to follow the Great Commission--

In our excitement to share the Romans Road--

In our speediness to proclaim the Good News--

Maybe, just maybe, we need to begin with listening.

We have a world full of people who need to get some things off their chests.

Some folks who don't have a shoulder to cry on.

Person after person who needs a trustworthy ear to share their hurts with.

Maybe it's time we start listening more.

Allow ourselves to step through the door God opens into their lives by merely pausing long enough to hear what it is they have to say.

It's what Job needed.
