GIVING GOD YOUR SHOE

Today's reading: Ruth

"In those days it was the custom in Israel for anyone transferring a right of purchase to remove his sandal and hand it to the other party. This publicly validated the transaction." Ruth 4:7 NLT

Have you 'given your shoe' to the Lord?

Handed it over to Him privately and publicly?

Maybe you have asked Him to be your Lord and Savior--great!

Maybe you've been through the New Believer classes and got the award Bible for perfect attendance--wonderful!

Maybe you've even gotten wet in front of your new church family in baptism--super!

Maybe you've accepted a new role and validated your commitment to your house of worship--kudos!

But have you 'given the Lord your shoe'?

Have you mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually recognized this purchase by Him of your sins, your life, your future and your hopes?

Have you acknowledged that as of the moment of your salvation that nothing of yours is yours?

Your plans, are no longer yours.

Your body, is no longer yours.

Your desires, are no longer yours.

Your future, is no longer yours.

'Hand over your sandal' to God. He can be trusted with all you've sold to Him. And in return you will be wildly blessed!
