 BUDDING BRANCHES

Today's reading: Jeremiah 1-6

"Then the Lord said to me, Look, Jeremiah! What do you see? And I replied, I see a branch from an almond tree. And the Lord said, That's right, and it means I am watching, and I will surely carry out my threats of punishment." Jeremiah 1:11-12 NLT

Things are budding here on our little farm.

Lilacs are bursting with color. Redbuds are pinking up. Almond bushes are bloomed. Wiegelia provide bursts of pink all over the yard. The daffodils have bloomed and are now drooping.

Spring is springing!

When Jeremiah saw the almond branch, I have a tendency to believe it was bloomed out as a marker for the next agricultural season Israel would enter.

A simple reminder to Jeremiah that God saw. That God was watching. That God remembered all He had promised--the blessings and the curses.

Are you seeing spring through those same kind of eyes?

Seeing that even after a long, cold winter, God remembered us?

Are you enjoying all spring has to offer as it is handed to you from our great, glorious and creative Creator?
