 WRITTEN DOWN

Today's reading: Jeremiah 32-36

"Perhaps the people of Judah will repent if they see in writing all the terrible things I have planned for them. Then I will be able to forgive their sins and wrongdoings." Jeremiah 36:3 NLT

Jeremiah, led by the Lord, wrote out God's Word for the people to read.

Black and white.

Ink to paper.

So they could see it with their eyes.

God hoped that them actually seeing it, not just hearing it, would stir them to repentance.

He does the same for us.

He doesn't see it as enough for us to hear God's Word from the pulpits on Sunday mornings.

He has placed it, written form, in front of us by way of our Bibles.

Something to hold in our hands.

Something to see with our eyes.

Something for our brains to process as we read it word for word.

Something sent directly from God to touch our hearts.

Are we reading it?
