 PLACE OF RESIDENCE

Today's reading: Exodus 25-28

"I want the people of Israel to build me a sacred residence where I can live among them. You must make this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the plans I will show you." Exodus 25:8-9 NLT

Shame on us to think we can throw together a tent, a dwelling place, a life in which we can just slide God in as an accessory.

As He did in the time of the Israelites, whom He loved dearly, He asks us to build a permanent residence so He can be with us at all times.

But that home He desires has to be to His specifications--as God cannot just live anywhere or in any old thing.

He knows what He wants and He knows what's best for us.

Isn't it time we started working according to His plans? Building Him a temple of our hearts, minds and bodies that will be suitable for a King?
