SHORT-SHEETING YOURSELF
Today's reading: Isaiah 26-28

"For you have no place of refuge--the bed you have made is too short to lie on. The blankets are too narrow to cover you." Isaiah 28:20 NLT

Been there?  Done that?

Found yourself in a pickle of your own making?

In a stew of your own conjuring?

In a predicament of your own problematic messes?

Whatever has happened, you find that the spot you find yourself in, the very spot you feel as if you tried really hard to make work out, the place you attempted to avoid, the acreage you were warned repeatedly against visiting--

You're there.

And it doesn't feel good.

Not good at all.

It doesn't fit well.

It isn't comfortable.

As a matter of fact, it's worse than you would have ever imagined it could be.

Call out to God.

He will hear you from there. Yes, even from there!
