INSTEAD OF TAKING A POLL
Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 17-20

"So King Ahab summoned his prophets, four hundred of them, and asked them, Should we go to war against Ramoth-gilead or not? They all replied, Go ahead, for God will give you a great victory! But Jehoshaphat asked, Isn't there s prophet of the Lord around, too? I would like to ask him the same question." 2 Chronicled 18:5-6 NLT

I think I can speak for most of us in saying we want to live in God's will.

But how often do we seek Him out to find out just what that will might be?

We turn to friends for advice.

We seek out counsel from Google.

We watch the media for what's trending.

We make our lists of pro's and con's, gather our bits of knowledge and make our best guess-timate.

But seek God?

Stop? Pray? Quiet ourselves? Listen? Expect to hear from Him? Not go any farther until He leads, opens a door or writes on the wall?
