SAFE AND SECURE
Today's reading: Genesis 44-45, Matthew 13:10-23, Psalm 18:30-50

"He makes me as surefooted as a deer, leading me safely along the mountain heights." Psalm 18:33 NLT

Oh, what a loving God we have!

He enables us to do what is impossible.

He allows us to be amazed.

He walks with us through some awful times.

He steadies us as we stand where He has asked us to stand.

Some days it's on top of a mountain that provides us with a panoramic view. Sunshine. Wildflowers. Snowy peaks. Blue sky. Bird songs filling our ears.

Some days on the crest of a wave surrounded by a stormy sea. Feet wet. Scared. Filled with doubts. Thunder ringing in our ears.

Some mornings we find ourselves surveying a battlefield where He has done His mighty work...or where we will see His mighty work done.

Some nights He has us at the tippy-top of the highest height of a roller-coaster we never wanted to ride, never bought a ticket for and never would have allowed ourselves to get strapped into--ever.

But where He has us, He has us securely.

He has us in a safe place.

He has us walking where He needs us, enduring what He believes we can, doing what is only possible with Him and growing into who He wants us to become.

Oh, how He loves us!
