BOWED
Today's reading: Isaiah 46-48

"Both the idols and the ones carrying them are bowed down. The gods cannot protect the people, and the people cannot protect the gods. They go off into captivity together." Isaiah 46:2 NLT

Bowed-bent downward and forward; having the back and head inclined.

What a verse!

I mean, what a visual. A word picture. A perfect poster for reminding us that serving anyone but God is useless, worthless and harmful.

When we are bowed down in carrying our idols, we cannot see where we're going--and we tend to end up in worst places than we would ever imagine.

So ditch your idols!

Get rid of them!

Back straight. Chin up. Look forward. Relieved of the burden!
