RISKS
Today's reading: Ecclesiastes 10-12

"When you work in a quarry, stones might fall and crush you! When you chop wood, there is danger with each stroke of your axe! Such are the risks of life." Ecclesiastes 10:9 NLT

Risks-possibilities of loss or injury; someone or something that creates or suggests a hazard.

I believe church folks are keeping quiet about the Good News of Jesus because of the risks involved.

-We might be laughed at.

-We might not have all the answers.

-We might not be received.

-We might be labeled right wing or as Bible-thumpers.

Know what? We just might.

That's what a risk is. It's a possibility.

But there is always another side to any risk...

-What if what you had to say is just what that person needs?

-What if they believe?

-What if your words offer them the ray of hope they are desperately needing?

-What if, right then and right there, they ask Jesus into their hearts?

Is it worth the risk?

Do you truly believe others need your Jesus, and will you take the risk to tell it to them straight?
