STILL
Today's reading: Psalm 46-49

"Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10 NKJV

Still-devoid of or abstaining from motion; uttering no sound; free from noise or turbulence.

How many of us are truly 'still'?

We think we need to shout His name from the rooftops at all times--and we're asked to be still and allow the world to see Him at work in us.

We think we need to be splashing in the waters of life--and we're asked to be still and let His Living Water change us and the people around us.

We think we need to be quoting the verses, repeating the sermons and pointing out the sins of the world--and we're asked to be still and let Him do the work.

When we're still, He gets more of the honor.

When we're still, He gets all of the glory.

When we're still, He gets our attention.
