CARRIED
Today's reading: 1 Kings 7-9

"Then the priests and the Levites took the Ark of the Lord, along with the Tabernacle and all its sacred utensils, and carried them up to the Temple." 1 Kings 8:4 NLT

Carried-to have moved while supporting.

Did you know Merriam-Webster lists twenty-three definitions for the word 'carry'?

TWENTY-THREE!

This first definition, the one written above, grabbed my attention out of all of them.

The servants of the Most High God had to bear the weight of the Ark as they re-located it.

The whole weight.

On their shoulders. In the grip of their hands. With the strength of their backs. Using their legs to lift. Utilizing their core. Straining their muscles.

Just to get the Ark to where it needed to be.

And we cannot share the Gospel?

We cannot be depended upon to speak of God's love to at least one person each day?

We don't make the effort to tell another what God has done for us?

Our charge is to carry the Good News to the lost and dying world--so let's pick it up and get it out there!
