CRUSHED
Today's reading: 1 Samuel 19-21

"Jonathan left the table in fierce anger and refused to eat all that day, for he was crushed by his father's shameful behavior toward David." 1 Samuel 20:34 NLT

Crushed-to be oppressed or overwhelmed as if by pressure or weight; to be oppressed or burdened grievously.

When was the last time, if there has ever been a time, sin crushed your spirit?

Has sin, yours or another's, ever made you sick at your stomach?

Does sin break your heart?

How sin effects us shows our tolerance of it.

Do we just overlook it, as a character flaw?

Do we chalk it up to human nature?

Do we tend to excuse it due to mitigating circumstances, one's history or one's personality?

Do we grant ourselves more lenience in regards to sin than we do for others?
