NOT REQUIRED
Today's reading: Mark 15-16

"...They bound Jesus and took him to Pilate, the Roman governor." Mark 15:1 NLT

I cannot help but think...

It didn't require shackles, He knew I needed a Savior.

It didn't call for chains, He knew I couldn't do enough on my own to save myself.

The spears and swords used to move Him along weren't necessary, He knew I was helpless and hopeless without His sacrifice.

The ropes were only there to make the crowd think He was a hardened criminal, He wouldn't have bolted--He loved me too much.

He walked that road for me. He wasn't led down it. He wasn't corralled down it. He wasn't pushed down it. He wasn't ordered down it. He walked it willingly for me, because I needed what only He could offer.

He loved me that much.
