A TOUGH PRAYER TO PRAY
Today's reading:  Romans 11-12

"...Let their bountiful table become a snare,
a trap that makes them think all is well.
Let their blessings cause them to stumble.
Let their eyes go blind so they cannot see,
and let their backs grow weaker and weaker."
Romans 11:9-10 NLT

David was speaking of those who refused to know God. The unrepentant. The heathen. The ones who had set their hearts and minds against God. The ones outside the circle of God's love.

He was asking God to wake them up. To shake them up. To strip them of everything that could be distracting their focus from Him. To do something radical to get their attention, and their hearts.

It's a tough prayer to pray.It's a scary prayer to pray. It's a life-changing prayer to pray.

It's a necessary prayer to pray.

Until any one of us comes to the realization that He is all we have, He is all we need, He is all the hope we'll ever receive, we're hopeless.

And this prayer has the potential to break the chains of hopelessness.
