BACKED BY PRAYER
Today's reading:  Esther 1-5

"...And then, though it was against the law, I will go in to see the king.  If I must die, I am willing to die."  Esther 4:16 NLT

What brave words from such a, in all estimation, young girl.

What courage she displayed.

What a valiant decision she made--and in the next few chapters, follows through on.

What gave her her courage?  How did she muster enough bravery and grit?  How did she do it?

"Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai, Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me.  Do not eat or drink for these three days, night or day.  My maids and I will do the same..."  Esther 4:15-16 NLT

The gal was backed by prayer.

She knew folks were praying for her.  She made a need known to her prayer warriors.  She asked for prayer.

And then she depended upon the power of it!

Being backed by prayer places you in one of the most powerful positions there are.
