TODAY OR TOMORROW
Today's reading:  2 Timothy 3-4

"As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God.  The time of my death is near.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful."  2 Timothy 4:6-7 NLT

Might I, on my death bed, be able to say the same things.

Might I, today--not knowing when my life will end and my eternity begin, be able to say the same things!

I want my legacy to leave no doubt in people's minds that I was a fighter.  That I fought to stay close to God.  That I fought against satan and his attacks.  That I fought to make sure my loved ones knew my Lord and Savior.

I want my eulogy to state that I've finished the race and know without doubt that my reward at the finish line is great.  I don't want mourners at my funeral, I want folks willing to celebrate my 'graduation'.

I my family and friends to be able to say I was faithful to the end.  Regardless of pain.  In spite of life's twists and turns.  Despite my imperfections and feeble attempts.

As for me, I want today to be about action verbs--fighting, finishing, remaining!
