A WORK IN PROGRESS
Today's reading:  Proverbs 13

"Those who control their tongue will have a long life, a quick retort can ruin everything."  Proverbs 13:9 NLT

There are certain things that have always and probably will always catch my eye...

Red flowers--of any kind.

Large horses--of any color.

The smiles of old women--the wrinkles and the stories behind them.

And verses about the tongue.

I can read right over a lot of verses, but the ones that deal with the issue of the mouth always stop me in my tracks!

You see, I have a big problem with my mouth.

It's the bane of my existence.  It's the thorn in my flesh.  It's the issue I seek the hem of His garment over.  It's the one sin that keeps me constantly knelt before His throne in repentance of.

So when I see a verse that deals with the tongue, I stop and take notice--hoping to find the 'key' that will release me from its prison.
