IT'S TIME
Today's reading:  Ecclesiastes 3-4

"There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven...A time to plant and a time to harvest."  Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 NLT

It's begun.

The seed corn that was planted in our field back in May has grown.

The individual plants have progressed from tiny two-leaf sprouts, to tall, willowy green flags waving at heights of seven or eight feet through the summer, to what we see this morning--dried, brown worn out stalks loaded with two or three big ears of corn each.

The combines are all around us.  Our field will be on their list of things to do in the next few weeks.
What they planted will be harvested.  The hoppers of the combines will fill by the row with golden 'fruit' from the soil.

Harvest is here.

Makes me wonder about growth in my own life.

Am I producing fruit?   Has it been 'a good year'?  Has God seen an increase in my life?
