NOT ALONE
Today's reading:  Haggai

It's quiet here this morning.

I'm the only one up.  My guys will rise and shine in about 45 minutes, then things will start hopping.

As I look out the window, it's still dark.

When I stop typing, I realize the only sound I hear is the tick-tock of the clock in the kitchen.

No dogs barking outside.  No cars driving by.  No tractors in the fields.  No roosters crowing.  No radio playing.  No one asking for my help, where their jeans are or what's for breakfast.

It feels as if I'm all alone.

Well, it did until I read this verse:

"...I am with you, says the Lord!"  Haggai 1:13 NLT

He is here--hallelujah!

He is here--amen!

It's not too early for Him.  It's not His day off.  It's not an inconvenient time.  It's not someone else's day to balance gravity and spin the planets.

He is with me.  I am not alone!
