GODZILLA
Today's reading:  Proverbs 14-15

"A wise woman builds her house, a foolish woman tears hers down with her hands."  Proverbs 14:1 NLT

I'm having flashbacks this morning of the early 1970's clips of Godzilla.  You've seen the ones.  Ships are sank.  Buildings torn down.  People running.  Airplanes jerked from the sky.

Chaos, utter chaos.

And to think, I can cause the same destruction in my own home with idle hands, and I don't see it in print, but I truly believe the writer of this proverb could have also mentioned a busy mouth.

Do my sharp criticisms do anyone under my roof any good?  Are my sarcastic remarks, regardless of how witty they seem, esteem anyone?  Do my complaints edify?

Or am I as destructive as Godzilla?

Building up or tearing down?

What will I do with my hands and words today?
