LITTLE GUYS
Today's reading: Luke 19-20

Luke 19 gives us the account of one of the little guys in the Bible. No, not little in importance, but in stature. We've all heard about him. We've all read about him. We've all sang about him. Zaccheus.

What struck me this morning about this fellow is how very much he and I have in common.

First, we're both on the shorter end of the measuring stick.

Secondly, we work in the public.

Thirdly, Jesus walked into both our lives.

Fourthly, we've both invited Christ into our hearts and into our homes.

Fifthly, importance isn't measured by the 'big things' we do--it's all about heart!

Zaccheus and I have the opportunity each and every day to allow what God speaks to our hearts to have an impact on those around us. You see, Zaccheus didn't just serve tea to our Savior--he allowed the Savior to completely transform him and in turn his homelife was infected by God's love, his workplace was infected and his clientele was infected!

Little guys (and gals) serving a great big God wholeheartedly can have a huge impact on their world!
