AT ONCE
Today's reading: Mark 1-2

"And they left their nets at once and followed him." Mark 1:18 NLT

That's what I want to be able to do.

When Jesus calls me into a work, a ministry or a moment of repentance--I want to immediately respond.

But there are those strings I leave attached to 'things'. There is always the perpetual list of reasons why I can't. Doubt will rear it's ugly head and fill my thoughts with deterrants to Christ's call. I refer to my planner in order to see if I'm available.

But Simon Peter and Andrew dropped what they were doing and fell into step with the Savior. They put aside their jobs, their families, their comfortable boxes and followed at once.

And they were blessed. They saw miracles performed. They witnessed healings. They spent intimate moments with God's Son. They grew. They experienced a world flled with more, much more, than their fishing boats would ever allow them.

And that's what I want!
